Natural Environment:
The site is located in the Santa Maria la Real de Nieva Massif, in the south-east part of the Duero Valley. The scenery is characterised by outcrops of slate and schist on an E-W direction.
Archaeological evidences in the site:
The site hosts one of the most important groups of open-air Paleolithic engravings in Iberia, tpgether with Siega Verde in Salamanca, and Foz Coa and Mazouco in Portugal. Engravings dating to Recent Prehistory and even Historical periods are frequent in the place. The engravings are located in a 12-km long area in the towns of Domingo García, Bernardos, Minguelañez and Ortigosa de Pestaño (province of Segovia).
