Natural Environment:
The rock art shelter of Val del Charco del Agua Amarga belongs to the Ebro Basin. Geomorphologically is defined as a flat reliefs developed between the marginal mountain chains of Bajo Aragon and the Northern limit of the province. It is possible to observe platform reliefs arrange in terraces, and some of them contain rock art trails. One of those is the art site of the Plano del Pulido (Caspe), 7 km away from Val del Charco. One of the most characteristic geomorphological elements of the area are the small depressions with salad lakes or lagoons.
Archaeological evidences in the site:
The rock art shelter of Val del Charco is the only one Cultural Heritage of interest during the visit. Nevertheless, is one of the best Levantine rock art sites because of the quality and visibility of the motives and it is also probably the one which has a better access for the general visitor of all of the Levantine rock art sites in the Iberian Peninsula.
