Cantabria Region (Spain) and La Dordogne (France) sign a Collaboration Agreement on Prehistoric Rock Art and Cultural Tourism

The Counsellor of Culture of Cantabria, Mr Ramon Ruiz, and the President of the Department of La Dordogne, Mr Germinal Peiro, have signed in the city of Périgueux a collaboration agreement on Rock Art and Archaeological Tourism.

The final goal of this agreement is to cooperate institutionally into the framework of the integral management of the Cultural Heritage in general and specially on the Rock Art Heritage for the improvement the conditions of conservation and sustainable use of Archaeological Heritage, with special reference to Palaeolithic Rok Art. Both regions have the declaration of World Heritage ( with 22 sites in Dordogne -Valley of La Vézère-, and 10 caves in Cantabria -Altamira and the caves with Paleolithic Art in Cantabrian Region-).

International Association PRAT-CARP has joined to this Collaboration Protocol, due to both regions belong to the Association.
